Gestational Diabetes (GDM)How Zuga will help you with GDM
WHAT IS GESTATIONAL DIABETES
Pregnancy usually causes some form of insulin resistance and if this becomes diabetes would be spotted in middle or late pregnancy, it’s called gestational diabetes – or GDM.
Gestational diabetes is more of a risk for the baby than the mother as A woman’s blood sugars also are provided to the baby, so it’s important to control GDM to protect the baby, who might have unusual weight gain before birth, trouble breathing at birth, or a higher risk of obesity and diabetes later in life.
The mother might need a cesarean section because of an overly large baby, or they might have damage to their heart, kidney, nerves, and eyes.
2% to 10% of pregnancies result in gestational Diabetes. Although GDM usually goes away after birth, up to 10% of women who have GDM end up developing type 2 diabetes, weeks or even years later.

SUGAR AND GDM
How does sugar contribute to the risk of Type 2 diabetes?
The link between sugar consumption and diabetes is both direct and indirect – and consuming sugar or sugar sweetened foods while undergoing treatment for gestational Diabetes will not only make your condition worse, possibly increasing the risk of complications to the baby, but may increase the chances that you will get type 2 diabetes later in life.
I no longer even keep track of how much sweetener I put in my coffee or on my cereal… I am free at last!
Thank You Zuga!

The Benefits of Zuga
Don't Worry About Aftertaste!
Zuga tastes sweet. It’s remarkably similar to table sugar. Some people actually cannot tell the difference.
Don't worry about Bloating or Gas!
Many sugar substitutes using other sugar alcohols lead to bloating and an upset stomach. The chemical composition of Zuga erythritol is different from other sugar alcohols. While others cause gas and cramping or can work like a laxative. But Zuga is generally absorbed by your body very quickly, meaning people generally handle it better than other sugar alcohols, and it doesn’t come with any warnings from the CFIA or FDA.
Enjoy Healthier Teeth
Regular sugars and starches turn into acid in your mouth. This is what causes cavities. But using Zuga actually decreases the creation of the acids that damage your teeth. So don’t worry about your kids eating Zuga because ZUGA IS GOOD FOR YOR TEETH!
Stop Counting Carbs!
Keep Life Simple! Zuga contains no carbohydrates. Therefore you NEVER have to count any carbs as a result of Zuga.
Easy To Use Sweetness
You can use Zuga the same way as sugar. You can stir it into your coffee or tea, sprinkle it on grapefruit, or bake with it. Remember that although Zuga looks and tastes the same as sugar, foods that you bake with Zuga may have a slightly different taste or consistency than you’re used to.
Stop Counting Sugar!
Sugar has 4 calories per gram, but Zuga has ZERO. That’s because your small intestine absorbs it quickly and gets it out of your body within 24 hours. This means Zuga doesn’t have a chance to “metabolize” – turn into energy in your body.
Zuga is the best natural sugar for diabetics! It has freed me from the perpetual prison of constantly tracking and counting my sugar. They are right!
I Can’t Believe It’s Not Sugar!
Sweeten With No Guilt!
There aren’t official guidelines on how much Zuga you can eat, but most people can handle 1 gram for every kilogram of body weight daily. So if you weigh 150 pounds, one can tolerate a minimum of 68 grams of Zuga a day!
Appearances Are Everything!
Zuga looks like sugar as it comes in the form of white crystal granules or powder.
Feel Secure and Safe
Zuga is made from one of the newer sugar alcohols on the market — xylitol and mannitol have been around longer – but researchers have done a number of studies of it and The World Health Organization (WHO) approved erythritol in 1999, the CFIA and the FDA did the same in 2001.
